About The Seat Pleasant Community Development Corporation
The Seat Pleasant Community Development Corporation (SPCDC) is a non-profit, dedicated to sustainable housing and community revitalization, based in Seat Pleasant, MD, A City of Excellence. This is accomplished through pro-active partnerships with residents, community organizations, nonprofits, municipalities, county, state and federal agencies. We focus on housing, economic development, health, education and the general well being of the communities we serve.
We facilitate community visioning and vetting for economic development through community charrettes and meetings. Our programs are designed to preserve affordable homeownership; mitigate foreclosures, and acquire, renovate then re-sell foreclosed properties. Further, the SPCDC provides consumer financial literacy; advocates for fair and affordable credit; supports micro lending programs; and serves as a viable resource to educate businesses on loan procedures and requirements.
The Mission of the Seat Pleasant Community Development Corporation is to enhance the Seat Pleasant Community and surrounding areas through programs that improve housing, economic conditions, health, education and the general well being of the communities we serve.
